Very sorry to hear that. The system worked more smoothly in my friend&#039;s case. I would suggest calling the official helpline again. If still no luck, maybe your local councillor or even MP could help? You could also try calling the Age UK advice line on 0800 678 1602.]]></description>

					<description><![CDATA[I applied for the higher rate for my husband who has Parkinsons and dementia, I rang the helpline 10 weeks ago, they said they would sent an e-mail to the appropriate dpt.  I rang again 3 weeks ago and they confrimed the e-mail had been sent.  Still nothing.  My husband will be 85 in April 23]]></description>
