Good timing. I should make better use of my ISA allowance, but it is difficult getting the cash together to put something away at the moment.

In reply to Rhian Westbury. Thanks, Rhian. No, I won't be using the whole £20K allowance this year either. It's still important to use as much as you can before 6 April, though, as after that the 2022/23 allowance will be gone forever!

I have a few different ISA’s opened over the years and I’m definitely not making the most of the full £20K limit, but I think we’re going to get close this year. My mission next year is to max out the LISA £4k for retirement x

This is a really informative post about the different ISA’s we can invest in, and a great reminder for me to use up this years allowance! With finances stretched more than ever for people it’s so important to make the most of our ISA allowance to increase our earnings.

In reply to Rachel. Thanks, Rachel. I am not a big fan of premium bonds as they are basically a gamble. Even with a large holding, most people make no more than about 1% a year in prizes, and some make nothing at all. They are okay for a bit of fun, but for serious investing a good stocks and shares ISA would be my choice every time.

We were having a debate in the office this morning as to whether it is better to put any spare monies you might have into an ISA, or whether you choose the premium bonds option. The entire office is under 45 years old, infact under 40, so it was quite an interesting debate.
