Thanks, Tracy. Yes, there are lots of things to think about, so it can be a very good idea to review your options with an expert. The state pension is an important contributor to most people’s income in retirement. While the amount is relatively modest, it does have the benefit that it goes up every year.

You’re right, not knowing whether you’ve got 5 or 35 years to plan for makes it really difficult – so knowing your opinion is essential. The state pension, although small is actually a huge factor in calculations too.
