It seems like quite a relaxing break while also having lots of look at. I love the idea of seeing the lake and the castle (I’ve always been fascinated by exploring castles).

It did make me chuckle when you mentioned how the Bridge House used to be an apple store. These days the only apple stores sell laptops and mobile phones!!

We plan on retiring there in the next couple of years. Probably not inside the national park though, outside will be quieter and cheaper. We usually visit 3 times a year, can’t wait for June when we next go.

We’ve been on the steamer as well – a really relaxing way to see the scenery.

Thanks, Suzanne. It’s certainly a lovely part of the world. There are lots of things to do in the area where I stayed, for children as well as adults. Another possibility would be the Motor Museum, which is a short trip in a shuttle bus from Lakeside.
