Lol. I kept pronouncing it wrongly as well, but after watching the video in the visitor centre I think I’ve got it now. And yes, I certainly hope it’s a bit warmer next time I go!

The hotel sounds very interesting, and it’s a shame it doesn’t promote it’s history more because places like that, dating back so long, are fascinating and harder to come by. A good point about the lack of a lift for those with mobility or health issues.
It sounds like quite a peaceful, serene area all in all, but I’d want a bit warmer weather to enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Great write-up of your weekend adventures, Nick!
