Thanks, Erith. Yes, I guess we have a fair bit in common. I enjoyed blogging as well, but in recent years it's gone from being a profitable enterprise to a hobby that is costing me money. That isn't really something I can justify or sustain. I have had a good run, but it's time to move on to pastures new.

I totally appreciate your position.
In fact as Pounds and Sense turned up on my X page, I thought - I haven’t seen that blog in ages. Similar experience with other ‘old friends’ in the blogging sphere! Only a few left!
Unless you’re on an email chain, and click a link, the algorithm is unlikely to show you something that isn’t connected to the last 48 hours…

I ran Cracking Retirement for 9 years, then faced with charges of £200+ for another year, I decided to stop. For me, it was always a bit of a vanity project. I enjoyed writing, particularly about the different aspects of retirement, be it finances, social or personal! However I don’t miss the pressure to post, to keep the stats up.

Enjoy your retirement. Your best days might still be ahead of you

Maybe consider guest posts in your niche!
