Thanks, Caz. Yes, it’s important to monitor these things carefully! In the current very low interest rate environment the 123 Lite account may still be a good choice for some people, especially if they don’t keep too much money in it.

I imagine it would help to really calculate what you spend and whether the changes in cashback would help or hinder you, and whether it’s worth it given the rise from £1 to £2 p/month. I have a feeling my ex had/has this account. I’ll forward him your article as he never looks into the details of these things. Very helpful post!
