Thanks again for a great guest post, Haydn (and for your kind comments about this blog!). I do agree it’s important to be aware that even so-called ‘safe’ investments carry some risk. As savers and investors we shouldn’t be scared of risk, but we need to understand it and manage it as effectively as possible.

First and foremost thank you to Nick for allowing me to post the article on Pounds & Sense. There is some really great stuff (check it out!) all over this site so it was a kind of honour to be able to contribute in a very small way.

Risk is a tricky thing and something that is often overlooked so I thought it would be good to highlight some not-so-talked-about risks, especially of “safe” assets (and are sometimes called “risk-free”…!). Be careful out there people.

I loved writing this so hopefully some of you will enjoy reading it!
