Fair enough! As I said in my post, I thought you provided a balanced and comprehensive review (which is why I linked to it). I have seen a lot of people promoting 20 Cogs uncritically, I assume because there is commission to be earned by doing so. I concluded some time ago that 20 Cogs wasn’t something I could honestly recommend or promote to my readers. But obviously, if people still want to give it a try after reading your blog post or mine, I hope they will proceed carefully and take all the recommended precautions.

I also included tips such as using a new email address and fake number web site, which would have saved you some spam if you’d known before. Record keeping is also important.

Like you, I’ve also done Matched Betting, but I still completed all COGS, just making a little less at £129, and that included making a loss on one offer because I didn’t cancel in time (Grrr). Although I did win on a casino offer and didn’t include that in the total as it was pure luck.

One tip for how to cancel most subscriptions is to simply google “how to cancel xyz” because usually if people have had trouble cancelling with something they will have posted somewhere about it. Or contact the company well in advance.

Still, it’s not always easy.

I focused on the end result rather than the individual profit from each COG, which varies considerably.

I tried to just give an honest view of what’s involved and let people decide for themselves whether it’s worth a go.

Thanks, Carol. I tried Swagbucks too and found it not worth the effort, but at least I didn’t get spammed rotten by them. As for 20 COGS, I wish anyone who wants to give it a go the very best of luck. I only wish I had taken the advice about using a fake phone number and email address myself!
