Indeed, there are many good reasons not to go down the heat pump route. Yet another is that grants are only available for the original installation. If/when this gives up the ghost, you will have to pay the full cost of getting a replacement, which could easily run to five figures.]]></description>

I&#039;ve never thought it wise to put all eggs in one basket.
My main source of energy is gas, 1/4 the cost of electricity.  Apart from CH, the cooker is gas and there is also a gas fire in the lounge.
As for heat pumps, no way would I entertain one as in addition to your comments, they are ugly and noisy and finding someone to service one could prove tricky.]]></description>
